Chronal Shift is a spell that embodies the manipulation of time to alter destiny. With a command of temporal magic, the caster can rewind a fleeting moment, giving a target a chance to rewrite their immediate outcome.
When a creature within range fails an attack roll, saving throw, or ability check, you can use your reaction to twist the threads of time. The creature rerolls the result, and they must use the new roll. By briefly disrupting the flow of events, you provide them with an opportunity to succeed where they might have failed.
Visual and Narrative Flavor:
As the spell activates, a subtle shimmer of translucent energy surrounds the target, freezing their actions for a split second. Time itself seems to ripple and adjust as the moment rewinds, allowing the corrected action to unfold with newfound precision or determination.
Chronal Shift is particularly favored by those who tread the paths of chronurgy or dunamancy, reflecting their ability to shape probability and alter the narrative of events with a masterful touch.
