You summon a spirit, which takes the form of an avatar, to an unoccupied space within range, to serve as an instrument to your will. The avatar takes the statistics of an unnamed creature of CR equal to or less than 16. It loses access to any ability or feature that lets it summon, command or possess other creatures, as well as any Legendary Actions and the Spellcasting trait. The avatar obeys your commands to the best of its ability, and if not given a command, will just skip its turn.
The avatar does not gain any actions or bonus actions on its turn. The only way for it to use its action or bonus action features is for the caster to command it to, using his own. The caster can spend an action or bonus to allow the avatar to take one action or bonus action. This does mean that the caster can spend his action to allow the avatar to take an action, and then spend his bonus action, allowing the avatar to take another action. Whenever the caster orders it to act in any way, the avatar may move up to its movement before, during, or after the act, but can only move up to its movement during a single turn. The avatar uses its own senses, or the caster's, when attacking and acting.
If the avatar ever moves more than 400ft away from the caster, concentration on the spell instantly drops.
If concentration on the spell is broken, the avatar crumbles to dust and dissapears.
When casting the spell with a higher lvl spell slot, the CR limit for the creature increases for 2 for every spell slot above 8.
