Conjure Spicy Marinara
1st-level conjuration

Casting Time: 1 action
Range: Ranged / Touch (15-foot line or touch)
Components: V, S
Duration: Concentration, up to 10 minutes

You conjure a steady stream of piping-hot, spicy marinara sauce that flows from your hand. The sauce can be used for culinary, environmental, or situational effects.

Effects:

  • Culinary Creation: The sauce is perfectly spiced and delicious. It can enhance food or serve as a meal component. A creature that consumes at least 1 ounce of the marinara regains 1d6 hit points and has advantage on saving throws against being frightened or chilled (such as by cold damage) for 1 hour.

  • Environmental Application: You can coat up to a 10-foot-by-10-foot area with marinara sauce, making the surface slippery. Creatures moving through the area must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or fall prone. The sauce remains for the duration or until cleaned.

  • Fiery Assault (Optional): You can weaponize the marinara as part of the spell. As an action, you can fling the sauce in a 15-foot line that is 5 feet wide. Each creature in the line must make a Dexterity saving throw or take 1d6 fire damage. On a successful save, they take no damage.

At Higher Levels:

When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the hit points restored by the culinary effect increase by 1d6, and the fire damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 1st.

Note: The marinara cools and loses its magical properties after 1 hour. While edible, it’s overwhelmingly spicy for those unused to such heat.
