Azelf's Astral Armaments

You summon six spectral armaments made out of astral energy in your space. They float in the air and orbit you for the spell’s duration. These armaments aid in the caster's defense, increasing your AC by 2 for the duration of the spell. When you cast the spell — and as a bonus action on each of your turns thereafter — you can expend up to two of the armaments, sending them streaking toward one creature or object within 120 feet of you. When you do so, make a ranged spell attack. On a hit, the target takes 2d6 force damage. Whether you hit or miss, the armament explodes and is expended. The target and each creature within 5 feet of the point where the armament exploded must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 2d6 Force damage. The spell ends early if you expend the last armament.

When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the number of armaments created increases by two for each slot level above 3rd.
