You cause a black, caustic acid to be produced less than an inch over the surface of a weapon focus and make a melee attack with it against one creature within 5 feet of you. This can include unarmed strikes, ranged weapons, and natural weapons such as claws. On a hit, the target suffers the weapon attack’s normal effects and becomes coated in the viscus acid until the start of their next turn. On the end of their next turn, they take an additional 1d8 acid damage. Additionally, if they are wearing armor, it becomes tarnished and corroded under the acids affect, decreasing the armor class granted by this armor by 1. This does not affect natural or non-armor AC and does not stack. The AC decrease and acid damage on the conclusion of the targets turn can be prevented by the target being doused or cleaned of the acid in some way.
This spell’s damage increases when you reach certain levels. At 5th level, the melee attack deals an extra 1d8 acid damage to the target on a hit, and the damage the target takes on the following turn increases to 2d8. Both damage rolls increase by 1d88 at 11th level (2d8 and 3d8) and again at 17th level (3d8 and 4d8). Additionally, the AC reduction granted by this attack increases by 1 at 5th level (AC -2), 11th level (AC -3), and 17th level (AC -4). This cannot surpass the AC bonus granted by the armor
