You invoke the final reckoning, channeling a power that seems to split time and space. When you finish the casting, a 2‑mile radius around a chosen epicenter becomes the focus of an apocalyptic event. All creatures within that epicenter must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failure, a creature takes 10d12 necrotic damage and is afflicted by a magical plague (its nature and saving throw DC determined by the DM) that persists for 1d4 days. On a successful save, a creature takes half damage and suffers only minor adverse effects, such as becoming slowed or having difficulty concentrating on actions for 1d4 rounds.
- Aftermath: The immediate area is transformed: the sky darkens unnaturally, the ground cracks open in places, and nearby structures may collapse. The spell’s lingering magical plague or the altered environment can have lasting consequences in your campaign, such as permanently cursed land or a shift in regional power.
- Global Ripples: While the spell’s primary effects are centered on the 2‑mile radius, distant regions might experience tremors, unusual weather, or minor magical disturbances for a short period after the casting.
