With a swift incantation and a flourish of your hand, you conjure a number of spectral arrows equal to your spellcasting ability modifier. They hover protectively around you in a 15-foot radius, moving with you and poised to intercept incoming projectiles.
- Ranged Weapon Attacks: When a creature within the spell’s radius is targeted by a ranged weapon attack, you can use your reaction to expend one of these arrows to deflect that single attack, causing it to miss and deal no damage.
- Magic Missile: When a creature within the spell’s radius is targeted by a single casting of magic missile, you can use your reaction to expend a number of arrows equal to the number of darts in that volley, deflecting them all harmlessly. If you do not have enough arrows to expend for every dart, you choose how many are intercepted; any remaining darts strike as normal.
When the spell ends, if any of the spectral arrows remain, you can use your reaction (which can be taken immediately if the spell ends on your turn) to launch them at a target within 60 feet. Make a ranged spell attack for each arrow. On a hit, each arrow deals 1d8 force damage.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the number of spectral arrows increases by two for each slot level above 4th.
