Posted Nov 11, 2019Hello! This is the Event Coordinator of WSU D&D.
Wow this is a powerful spell! I'd normally say it's unbalanced, but it's just on the edge of it (like Toll the Dead). 3d12 damage as a 2nd level spell is nothing to sneeze at. However, it fits oh so well into the established lore of D&D and frankly works with the amount of damage it has.

Posted Nov 11, 2019I actually drew inspiration from the Toll the Dead spell, and when I compared the damage of d12s vs d10s (Like Guiding Bolt or Inflict Wounds) the chnge did not seem too excessively strong. I'm glad to hear that you like it!
