You create a 30-foot cube that rains blood, causing the area to be lightly obscured and douses and extinguishes any open, non-magical flames in the area.
Any creatures that enter the area for the first time, or that start their turn in the area must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, a creature is frightened of you for 1 minute, and take 1d4 psychic damage, on a successful save the creature is not frightened and takes half damage. Any creature affected by the spell can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of their turns, or any time they take damage from anyone other than you.
At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, you increase the size of the cube by 5 feet and the damage die by 1d4 for each slot level above 1st. (2d4 at 2nd, 3d4 at 3rd, 4d4 at 4th, 5d4 at 5th, 6d4 at 6th, 7d4 at 7th, 8d4 at 8th, and 9d4 at 9th.)
* - (A few drops of blood (consumed by the spell))
