Through basic study in the school of Conjuration, you are able summon an ethereal weapon straight from Oblivion and into your open hand. The weapon you conjure using this cantrip can only be your choice of either a Rapier, Shortsword, Scimitar, Dagger, Handaxe, or a Mace. You are proficient with this weapon while you wield it and it's treated as magical for the sake of overcoming resistances and immunity to nonmagical damage. You can't be disarmed of the weapon unless you are incapacitated, and you may also dismiss the weapon as a free action.
Attempting to conjure another ethereal weapon using this cantrip will cause any other ethereal weapons that you conjured with this cantrip to immediately vanish and disappear back into Oblivion. If the caster of this spell lets go of the weapon, the weapon will immediately disappear with the exception of attempting to throw the weapon as part of an attack. In which case, the weapon disappears into thin air after it either hits a creature or any other surface that it would normally be able to hit.
At Higher Levels. The ethereal weapon becomes a +1 Weapon at 5th level, a +2 weapon at 11th Level, and +3 weapon at 17th level.
