if you dad dies from this, he will be reborn exactly the same after 24 hours. This ignores all affects that are holding him prison somewhere, and it always brings his soul back to his body regardless where it is. If he is on another plane it still brings the dad to the location you summoned him to. This cannot be prevented by any means, including the wish spell.
