You tear open a rift to the Abyss at a point you can see within range, unleashing its chaotic fury into the world. The ground within a 30-foot radius sphere centered on that point becomes scorched and cracked, transforming into difficult terrain. Each creature in the area when the rift opens, or that enters it for the first time on a turn, must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 6d10 fire damage and 6d10 necrotic damage, or half as much on a successful save. Additionally, the air fills with ash and screams, imposing disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks relying on sight or hearing while within the area.
When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 9th level, the damage increases by 1d10 fire and 1d10 necrotic.
