An ancient technique reserved for Bards alone, the caster imbues their hand with magic and grasps hold of an object or person within range. The caster then chooses a target before hurtling the object/person in their direction, demanding that said target "check their vibes."
The caster first targets an object/creature within 5 feet of them, then targets another creature within 30 feet. The caster must yell, "Vibe Check!" before hurtling the held object/person at the target. The target must make a Dexterity saving throw against the caster's spell save DC. The target takes 1d4+1 bludgeoning damage on a failed Dex save and no damage on a successful one. Since the caster pools magic in their hand to grab the object/person, all damage from the thrown object is considered magical for the sake of resistances/immunities.
Once per long rest, when the caster uses Ye Olde Vibe Check, they can choose to imbue their vibes into the attack. The caster makes a DC 15 Charisma check, rolling a d20 and adding their Charisma modifier. The spell deals double damage on a successful check and fails on a failed check (since the Bard couldn't control their vibes.)
The spell's damage scales with level, increasing to 2d4+2 at level 5, 3d4+2 at level 11, and 3d4+4 at level 17.
