You summon an aqueous harpoon, which you hurl at a creature that you can see within range. Make a ranged spell attack. On a hit, the target takes 3d10 force damage, and the harpoon is embedded into the creature's body, weighing it down and reducing its movement speed by 10 feet. Additionally, as a bonus action after casting this spell and on subsequent turns, you can teleport in a wave of water to an empty space within 5 feet of the creature, as long as the two of you are on the same plane of existence.
An affected creature can use their action to make a Strength (Athletics) check against your spell save DC to remove the harpoon. On a success, the spell ends.
Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. The damage increases by 1d10 for each spell slot level above 4.
