You call forth Zeus, King of the Gods, for the power to rend the world asunder.
You call forth a devastating storm centered around you and spreading 5 miles in radius from the point of casting. As you begin casting this spell, black storm clouds begin to form overhead over the next minute. After the minute passes, the storm clouds open with a torrential downpour and hurricane winds. For the next hour, Speed within the area is halved. While concentrating on the spell, you may use the Magic Action to use the Lightning Strike ability. If you lose concentration on the spell, the storm continues for the remainder of the hour, but you can no longer use the Lightning Strike ability.
Lightning Strike. You call a bolt of lightning to strike down to a point you can see under the effects of the storm. Any creature within 5ft of the strike must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 6d10 Lightning damage or half on a success. Upon using this ability, every creature in a 30ft radius suffers an additional effect. Roll 1d6 to determine the additional effect from the Unrelenting Storm table below that occurs. Use your spell DC for the following effects.
Roll | Bonus Effect |
---|---|
1 | Hurricane force winds blast the surroundings. Every creature in the area that is flying or hovering must succeed a Strength saving throw or it is knocked to the ground, knocked prone, and takes 6d10 Bludgeoning damage. |
2 | Brilliant lightning flashes. Every creature in the area must succeed a Dexterity saving throw or it is blinded until the start of your next turn. |
3 | Heavy debris batters the area. Creatures concentrating on a spell or ability must make a Constitution saving throw or lose concentration. |
4 | Thunder rattles the air around. Every creature in the area must succeed an Intelligence saving throw or it is deafened until the start of your next turn. |
5 | The storm swirls around you, the center of the cataclysm. Every creature in the area must succeed a Wisdom saving throw or it is frightened of you until the start of your next turn. |
6 | The storm rages relentlessly. Buildings in the area not made from stone or metal take 50 bludgeoning damage. If a structure drops to 0 Hit Points, it collapses. |
