With a graceful movement and a swirl of a diamond dust, the deepest and most bitter cold flows into the air all around you. The very wind itself freezes under the command of your magic. In the frigid calm after you command everything around you to be still... You snap your fingers, and it all shatters violently into countless shards of ice.
Permafrost - When you cast this spell each other creature within a 30 foot radius around you takes 20d6 Cold damage, and must make a Dexterity save or be restrained for the duration of the spell. On a success they are only Restrained until the end of their next turn. The area of this spell also becomes difficult terrain until the spell ends. Each creature that failed the initial Dexterity saving throw may use their Action to try to break free of the ice, making a Strength saving throw to remove the Restrained condition on a success.
Diamond Dust - During the spell's duration, beginning on your next turn after casting this spell, if you are within the lingering area of the spell you may use a Magic Action to snap your fingers to violently shatter the ice created by the spell and potentially every creature trapped within. Each creature still under the Restrained condition given by this spell must make a Constitution saving throw or take 60d6 additional Cold damage and gain the Frostbite condition, which gives them vulnerability to the next source of Cold damage they are subjected to. On a success they only take half damage and do not gain Frostbite. If a creature that failed this saving throw is reduced to 0 hit points its body shatters into countless shards of ice. A creature shattered in this way may only be revived with a True Resurrection or Wish spell. After the effects of *Diamond Dust* resolve, the spell ends.
