Damage/Effect
You snap a dried wishbone while focusing on a minor desire, invoking the power of fate to subtly bend reality. However, luck is a fickle force, and the results of your wish are left to chance.
Effect:
After stating your wish, roll a d20 Arcana to determine the outcome:
- 20: Your wish is fully granted in a minor but ideal way.
- (e.g., A locked door unlocks silently, a small lost item appears in your hand, a friendly stranger gifts you a small pouch of coins (d4 for gold: 25gp, 50gp, 75gp, or 100gp).)
- 15-19: Your wish is granted, but with an unexpected twist.
- (e.g., A candle lights but flickers with eerie colors, a key appears but is fragile, you find a pouch of coins, but it belongs to someone nearby.)
- 10-14: Your wish is partially granted.
- (e.g., A door unlocks but makes a loud noise, a lost item appears but is slightly damaged, you find some scattered coins instead of a pouch.)
- 5-9: Your wish fails with no consequence.
- 1-4: Your wish backfires in a minor, unintended way.
- (e.g., A door locks tighter, your lost item appears in an inconvenient place, you accidentally drop some of your own coins.)
Additional Details:
- The spell cannot create wealth out of thin air but may lead to finding or receiving money through natural means.
- The wishbone is consumed upon casting.
- The effects should remain within the power of a cantrip—no major reality-warping.
