Warp the laws of nature to oppressively restrain a target creature or object to its location effectively forcing a restrained condition while the spellcaster concentrates.
On their turn, a target creature may spend a bonus action to fight through the restraining magic by making a Strength check against the spell's DC. Failure continues the restrained condition, while success means they can move at half-speed and are temporarily not restrained until their next turn when a new Strength check must be made while the spellcaster maintains concentration. For each size level above the spellcaster's size, the target benefits from an additional cumulative +2 Strength bonus.
A targeted object automatically fails and is restrained in place like an immovable object with a DC equal to the spell's DC, unless it is a weapon with multiple moving parts such as a crossbow or firearm. In that case the chance of misfire is increased by the spellcaster's spell attack modifier.
