Conception Catalyst is a powerful transmutation spell that enables any two consenting creatures to partake in the creation of life, regardless of traditional biological constraints. The caster must touch both individuals involved, sealing the potential for new life with a rose petal imbued with potent magic. The potential parents must succeed on a Charisma saving throw to harmonize their essence for conception. Upon success, the magic weaves their energies together, planting the seed of life within one of them (decided by mutual agreement). The effects are instantaneous, bypassing natural reproductive limitations. However, the nature of the magical union introduces a 20% chance of unexpected elemental characteristics in the offspring, influenced by the surrounding environment during the casting. For instance, a conception in a storm might yield a child with lightning affinity. The spell's origins are shrouded in mystery, rumored to have been created by an elusive sorceress who sought to bring new life to barren lands, regardless of their inhabitants' natures.
Lore. Legends whisper of the Conception Catalyst's genesis in the Serpent Bloom Isles, where an enigmatic sorceress wove the spell to repopulate her desolate homeland. Guided by a vision of unity and regeneration, she imbued the spell with wild unpredictability, forever altering the concept of procreation among adventurers and scholars alike.
