You place the green gem upon the ground at the center of the assembly of corpses. With a steady hand, you slice open your palm, letting your blood drip onto the gem. As the crimson liquid mingles with the stone’s surface, a pulse of energy radiates from the gem, filling the air with an unsettling chorus of whispers.

As you chant an unholy incantation, your body begins to glow with a ghastly green light, illuminating the area with an eerie glow. The skin on your body starts to melt away, sinew and muscle disintegrating as the transformation into a skeletal form begins.

When you cast Army of Corpses, the surrounding corpses are infused with dark magic through the power of the large green gem and your sacrificial blood. The magical energy triggers a transformation in the corpses, imbuing them with a semblance of life. The process can be visualized as shadows or greenish energy swirling around the corpses, lifting them from the ground.

  • You exist as a skeletal entity, bound to the gem. Your strength and constitution decrease by 4 and your intelligence wisdom and dexterity increase by 3, but you can no longer be healed by conventional means. You now have resistance to piercing and slashing damage. you have immunity to necrotic and poison damage and are immune to being poisoned. you have vulnerability to radiance damage. Each corpse animates as a zombie, skeletonghoulmummy, or another type of lesser undead. Animated corpses act on your initiative and follow your spoken commands. While under your control, they retain their natural abilities, including any features or traits that might have persisted in undeath, as per their former life. You may choose to pass your consciousness into any animated corpse and control it directly. if your skeletal bod is destroyed a new body is formed from the gem and you inhabit that skeleton your stats do not change. If the gem is destroyed, you cease to exist and the risen corpses crumble to dust. when the gem is broken it does 10d20 necrotic damage to anyone within a 5ft radius

* - (A large green gem, any number of corpses greater than 150, your soul)
