You concentrate on an amount of physical elements that you can see within 30 feet of you. You can reshape the element into a form of your choosing and are able to animate the form in a repeating sequence.
While concentrating on the spell, you can use a Magic Action to move the animated element up to 30 feet in any direction, including levitating it. If you move the element out of range, it loses the animation and - if levitated - drops to the ground.
Stone, metal or other solids sculpted by this spell retain the form you created. However, water fire or other non-solid elements return to their normal state. For mixed state elements, such as ice, they remain in the sculpted form until naturally changing state, such as by melting. This spell can not affect elemental creatures such as earth elementals or genasi.
You can affect an amount of material equal to 5 cubic feet, and this spell can be cast at higher levels to affect larger areas. The area that can be affected increases by 5 cubic feet for every additional level. When cast as a 9th level spell, the transformation and animation can be made permanent, however the permanent effect can be ended by a Dispel Magic, Anti-magic Field, or other similar dispelling effects.
