The user of Competitors Graces roots their bare feet on the ground.
As long as you are on natural soil, you can draw on the earth's power to improve a physical attribute by one d4 each per turn you remain on natural ground.
Improving strength dexterity or Stamina to help you subdue an enemy through nonlethal means the borrowed power fades as soon as leave the earth.
You also suffer a level of fatigue from straining your muscles beyond human limits. the user must declare which stat is being improved at the start of their turn. if this borrowed power is used to kill a living creature you lose the spell. Demons and Undead are exceptions to this rule since in this case you are using the earth's strength to defend it from an unholy corrupting influence.
