With a smug flourish and the tone of a lecturer correcting a student, you shout an unsolicited correction, forcibly rewriting reality to demonstrate how it should have been done. The targeted creature rerolls the failed saving throw or ability check with advantage.
If the reroll succeeds, the creature must make a charisma saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failure, they take 2d4 psychic and gain the humbled condition until the end of their next turn (disadvantage on charisma checks as the sting of your smugness lingers). On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage and is not humbled.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the target gains a +1 bonus to the reroll for every two slot levels above 2nd (e.g. +1 at 4th level, +2 at 6th level, etc.). The psychic damage also increases by 1d4 for each slot level above 2nd.
