Large boulders rise into the sky within range. If there are no boulders within range of the spell, the boulders are summoned and appear in the sky.

When you cast the spell, choose a point you can see within range. One of the boulders hurtles down from the sky to that point. Each creature within 5 feet of that point must make a Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 3d10 bludgeoning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. A creature that fails the save must also make a dexterity save or be restrained by the boulder. At the start of each of its turns it takes restrained in this way, it takes 1d10 bludgeoning damage. A creature restrained by the boulder or one within five feet of the restrained creature can make a strength check against your spell save DC, freeing the target on a success.

On each of your turns until the spell ends, you can use your action to drop another boulders in this way again, targeting the same point or a different one.

If you are underground when you cast this spell, large pieces of rock fall from the cavern ceiling. Under such conditions, the spell’s damage increases by 1d10.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th or higher level, the damage increases by 1d10 for each slot level above 3rd.
