You extend your hand toward a creature and expose it to malign entities from the Abyss. If a target has 15 Hit Points or fewer, it dies. Otherwise, they take 2d12 Necrotic damage. This damage can't be reduced or prevented in any way. This cantrip can affect as many as three other targets, each of which must be within 30 feet of at least one other target.
Fiends, Constructs and Undead are unaffected by this spell.
Your maximum Hit Points are permanently decreased by 1d4 every time you cast this cantrip. This cannot be reversed by any means short of a Wish spell.
Cantrip Upgrade. The Hit Point threshold to be instantly killed by this spell increases by 15 and the damage taken by surviving creatures is increased by 2d12 when you reach 5th level (30 Hit Points and 4d12 Necrotic damage), 11th level (45 Hit Points and 6d12 Necrotic damage), and 17th level (60 Hit Points and 8d12 Necrotic damage).
