Your body is a vessel for unnatural power, and when it is wounded, that power erupts in a violent, spiteful purge. Your blood has soured — thick, dark, and boiling with unnatural energy. Pain is no longer weakness. It’s a weapon.

Bloodlash Reprisal
Once per short rest, when a creature hits you with a melee attack using a non-magical weapon, you can use your reaction to unleash a spray of your boiling, corrupted blood in all directions. Your veins throb and split open with pressure, erupting in a scalding burst.

All creatures within 5 feet of you must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier). On a failed save, a target takes 2d6 necrotic damage as the blood sears into their skin, hissing on contact like acid and blackening flesh. On a successful save, they take half damage as the blood spatters harmlessly or they narrowly avoid the worst of it.

As the blood hits the ground, it writhes unnaturally for a moment — like it remembers being alive.

The damage increases to 3d6 at 10th level, and 4d6 at 15th level.

* - When a non-magical melee attack hits the caster. ** - (Casters own blood)
