Brilliant light flashes in a 10-foot radius, 40-foot-high cylinder centered on a point within range.
Each creature in that light must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 4d10 radiant damage and is blinded until the end of its turn. On a successful save, it takes half as much damage and isn't blinded by this spell. Undead and oozes have disadvantage on this saving throw.
If any of this spell's area overlaps with an area of darkness created by a spell of 3rd level or lower, the spell that created the darkness is dispelled.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a 5th- or 6th level spell slot, the damage increases to 5d10. When you cast it using a 7th- or 8th-level spell slot, the damage increases to 6d10. When you cast it using a spell slot of 9th level, the damage increases to 7d10.
