You shape the air around you into a horizontal slice that is 1 foot thick and up to 5 feet wide. The spell travels up to 100 feet in a straight line from you. On a hit, the target takes 1d8 Slicing damage. If you roll an 8, you may choose to have the slice continues to travel in a straight line until it hits the next creature or object in its path. Make an attack roll against the new target, and make a new damage roll. The slices can travel through a creature or object in this way a number of times equal to your spellcasting ability modifier.

Cantrip Upgrade. The spell creates two slices at level 5, three slices at level 11, and four slices at level 17. Each slice counts as a separate attack and you can direct the slices at the same target or at different ones.
