Dark spectral chains erupt from the ground, binding an enemy and draining their strength.
- Target must make a Strength saving throw or become restrained by spectral chains.
- The first round, they take 3d6 necrotic damage, and you gain temporary hit points equal to half the damage dealt.
- A restrained creature cannot teleport or be ethereal, as the chains bind their soul as well.

A creature restrained by the Withering Chains can use its action to make a Strength check against your spell save DC. On a success, it frees itself.

- If the creature is undead, instead of damage, you can control them as if they failed a Turn Undead save. At the end of each of its turns, the target can make a Wisdom saving throw. On a success, the spell ends on the target.
When the spell ends, the Withering Chains fade away.
