You summon a serpentine blast of crackling lightning entwined with poisonous mist, striking a target within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 3d8 lightning damage and 3d8 poison damage. The blast is so overwhelming that the target must make a constitution saving throw. on a failed save, the creature becomes poisoned for 1 minute. The creature can make a saving throw at the end of their turn.

at higher levels: When cast using a spell slot of 4th level or higher the lightning and poison damage both increase by 1d8 each
