You attempt to gain control of another creature’s spell through sheer
magical force. If the creature is casting a spell of 4th level or lower,
make a contested ability check using your spellcasting ability against
the creature casting the spell. If you win the contest, you can choose
the targets for the spell as if you had cast it, though you still treat the
spell as originating from the original caster to determine its range.
The overridden spell uses the caster’s spellcasting ability to determine
attack rolls and saving throw DCs, but if it requires concentration,
you must maintain concentration on it for the duration.
If you succeed in overriding the spell, you can only cast cantrips
until the end of your next turn.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, you can attempt to override a spell of a level that is less than or equal to the level of the spell slot you used.
