Using a binding ritual and a specially carved marble Sphere, you call forth a minor spirit from the edges of the ethereal plane and trap it inside a suit of humanoid armor via putting the sphere into the helm, once a spirit is trapped the marble sphere becomes transparent.
This spell begins a long-term ritual. The ritual must be cast once per day for 7 consecutive days, with each casting taking 6 hours. After the first casting, the armor animates and serves you as a loyal construct for 24 hours. If you complete all 7 rituals on the same armor and marble heart without missing a day, the construct becomes permanent and will serve you until destroyed.
Each day you perform the ritual, you must shed a drop of blood during the process. Doing so reduces your maximum hit points by 1 until you complete a long rest after finishing the ritual entirely. If you miss even one day, the marble heart cracks, the spirit is lost, and the ritual must be restarted. The armor remains intact and can be reused.
You may control any number of animated armors created this way. Each must be animated individually.
The suit of armor becomes a construct of the type matching the armor used (e.g. Plate, Leather, Hide, etc).
The construct obeys your verbal commands to the best of its ability. It can be equipped with weapons and shields, and it acts on your initiative in combat. It will take the Dodge action unless otherwise commanded.
Before the ritual is complete, the animated armor can be dispelled. The DC to dispel the construct depends on the type of armor used and whether the ritual has been completed
Once an animated armor has existed for one full year, it begins to develop a personality. These awakened armors can no longer be dismissed by magical means—only through physical destruction or extraordinary magic such as Wish or divine intervention.
The armor used must be a complete, Medium humanoid set, including a helm, chestplate, backplate, shoulder guards, full arm and leg protection, gloves or gauntlets, and boots or greaves. Partial sets are not sufficient.
It must be nonmagical and of at least the following value:
