You move your arm across your body and then flick the wrist as if throwing a flat disc. A 5ft wide, 1 inch thick translucent disc is thrown in a 30ft line from you. The disc always travels in the direction of its narrow edge, but you choose the direction and orientation of it.

Each creature in the line must make a Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 2d6 force damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, both the damage and the length of the line increase for each slot level above 1st. The damage increases by 1d6 and the length increases by 5ft per slot.
