You raise both of your hands into the air, and from above descends a shimmering yellow construct of solid light—a tower-like shape that seems unmoving and impermeable from the outside. Yet inside, it is gelatinous, disorienting, and surreal. You may shape this structure upon casting (see “Morphing Shapes”), adapting it to the tactical needs of the moment.
Effect on Enemies:
-
When an enemy creature enters or starts its turn inside the structure, they must make a Strength saving throw or be restrained by the jelly-like interior.
-
Inside the structure, creatures cannot breathe. They begin suffocating if they do not exit the structure before their air runs out (usually after 1 + Con modifier minutes, unless previously out of breath).
-
Movement through the structure is treated as difficult terrain, and all Perception checks relying on sight are made at disadvantage.
-
Vision is fully obscured for enemies inside the structure.
Effect on Allies:
-
Allies can see, move, and act normally inside the structure; for them, it is not difficult terrain, and vision is not obstructed.
-
While within the structure, allies regain 1d6 hit points every two turns (no action required). This healing cannot bring them above half their hit point maximum unless magical healing is also applied.
Morphing Shapes (Variable Casting Times):
Upon casting, you can choose the structure’s shape. The more complex the shape, the longer it takes to summon:
Side note: The user can make an shape, but this will heavily impact the time. (I will write in chart below)
| Shape | Casting Time |
|---|---|
| Simple Tower (10 ft radius, 30 ft tall) | 1 action |
| Wall (up to 40 ft long, 10 ft high) | 1 bonus action |
| Cage (10x10x10 ft cube) | 1 action |
| Massive Rectangle (20x40 ft structure) | 1 minute |
| Complex Shapes (user-defined, large coverage) | Up to 10 minutes (DM’s discretion) |
You can only maintain one structure from this spell at a time. Recasting the spell ends the previous instance.
Additional Notes:
-
The structure can appear on or around creatures, engulfing them.
-
Dispel Magic can remove the structure.
-
If the caster drops one or both hands, the spell ends immediately.
Thanks for checking out my spell gng
I made this for my own party but you can use it too if you want.
Happy...uhh...dungeoning and dragoning!
(And rolling!)
* - If you react, it is a small wall that will take 1 Reaction. If you intentionally, and pre-plan it's casting, you will achieve a large wall that will take upwards of 10 minutes.
