You deploy a mildly-transparent magical wall in front of you that is as tall as you are and 5 feet wide that lasts for the duration; it has 8 Hit Points and follows your movement. Whenever you take damage from a source in front of you that is a spell or other magical effect (like a breath weapon), the wall takes the damage instead, and if you have any Immunities, Resistances, or Vulnerabilities, apply them before reducing the wall’s Hit Points. If the damage reduces the wall to 0 Hit Points, the wall breaks, the spell ends, and you take any remaining damage. If the wall is still active by the start of your turn, it regains all of its Hit Points. You cannot be targeted by spells that do not initially deal damage (like Crown of Madness or Hold Person) while you are concentrating on this spell, unless that spell is cast from your flank or from behind you.

Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot: The Hit Point maximum of the wall increases by 8 for each spell slot level above 1.
