Candle of Truth

You cause a magical flame to burn brightly atop the beeswax candle. As the wax drips, the candle peers into the mind of the target. Upon lighting the candle, choose a target within range. During the duration of the spell, if the target knowingly tells a lie, the flame on the candle will flare. If the target's words are truthful but somehow deceiving, the candle flame will flicker.

At Higher Levels: When this spell is cast as a 4th level spell or higher, the candle flame whips out at the target whenever they lie, inflicting 1d6 fire damage.
