You create three darts of chromatic energy. Each dart targets a creature of your choice that you can see within range. Choose one of the following for the type of darts you create; acid, cold, fire, lightning, poison, or thunder, and then make a ranged spell attack against for each dart. On a hit, you deal 1d6+1 of the chosen damage type. The darts all strike simultaneously, and you can direct them to hit one creature or several.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the spell creates one more dart for each slot level above 1st.

I've never been the best at making chromatic spells stable, but that's part of the charm. Though I believe some people would call this one a masterpiece.
