You conjure a translucent, indestructible sphere around a creature you can see within range, trapping them inside. The target must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, they are trapped inside the Ball of Acid, unable to escape by physical, magical, or planar means. On a successful save, they are pushed 5 feet away from the forming sphere and the spell fails.
While trapped, acid rapidly fills the sphere, searing their flesh. The creature takes 6d10 acid damage at the start of each of its turns. If the creature is reduced to 0 hit points while trapped, its flesh is completely dissolved, leaving only bones behind as the sphere vanishes.
The sphere is magically indestructible and cannot be dispelled by any means other than a wish spell. The sphere disappears when the spell ends, when the caster loses concentration, or when the target dies.
