The caster chooses two creatures within range: One a target, one a recipient.
• If both creatures are unwilling or don’t understand the effects of the spell, they must both make a Constitution Saving Throw. If both fail, the target takes 1d4 Necrotic damage, or more at higher levels (see At Higher Levels), excluding temporary hit points. The recipient then gains hit points equal to the value taken from the recipient.
• If only one creature is willing and clearly understands the effect of the spell, the rules are the same as above, but the willing creature must succeed on the saving throw.
• If both creatures are willing and clearly understand the effect of the spell, both saving throws automatically succeed. The caster chooses up to 1d4 hit points from the target to transfer over to the recipient.
This spell is ineffective on constructs and undead. The recipient may only be healed twice per short rest, or more at higher levels (see At Higher Levels).
At Higher Levels:
This spell’s damage and the number of times a certain creature can benefit from this spell increases when you reach higher levels:
• 5th Level: 2d4; Recipient can be healed 3 times per short rest
• 11th Level: 3d4; Recipient can be healed 4 times per short rest
• 17th Level: 4d4; Recipient can be healed 5 times per short rest
* - (A drop of blood from both species involved)
