You throw a cursed vial of invasive seeds at one creature you can see within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the seeds cling to the target and begin to root themselves into its body. While the spell lasts, the target is Blooming and experiences the following effects at the start of each of its turns:

  • First turn: The target takes 1d6 necrotic damage and cannot benefit from invisibility or regain hit points from magical effects.

  • Second Turn: The target takes 2d6 necrotic damage and its speed is halved until the start of its next turn.

  • Third Turn: The target takes 3d6 necrotic damage and has disadvantage on weapon attack rolls until the start of its next turn.

  • Fourth Turn and Beyond: The target takes 4d6 necrotic damage and is restrained until the start of its next turn as a massive dandelion stalk erupts from its body.

A creature restrained in this way can use its action to make a Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check against your spell save DC, ending the restrained condition on a success.

Any creature can use its action to end the spell early by succeeding on an Intelligence (Nature) or Wisdom (Medicine) check against your spell save DC while adjacent to the Blooming target. On a success, the seeds are removed, and the spell ends.
