The caster twists radio frequencies in the air into a screaming beam of near-c electrons. A strange, pencil thin lightning bolt lances through the air, penetrating light cover and causing devastating harm to foes, while spreading invisible death around it. The beam is 1 inch in diameter and 400 feet long. Make an attack roll against your target using your spellcasting ability modifier to hit. If multiple enemies are in a line, you can roll to hit each enemy behind with disadvantage if they are positioned in a line. A target hit takes 5d6 fire damage and 5d6 necrotic damage, and must succeed on a constitution saving throw or take 2d6 necrotic damage for the next 5 rounds.

Radiation Backscatter. The beam appears 10 feet in front of the caster. Any creatures in a 10 foot radius of the beam must succeed in a constitution saving throw or take 2d6 necrotic damage.

Cover Penetration. The attack roll for the beam ignores all cover not composed of thick metal or stone. A metre of organic material, a foot of stone or 5 inches of metal will fully stop the beam- however any creatures in a 10 foot cone of the point where the beam was stopped must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or take 4d6 necrotic damage.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the damage of the initial attack and the beam being stopped increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 3rd.
