Conjure Creature

You throw down an arcane image of a creature, conjuring it from their imagination. The creature must be of a challenge rating 1 or lower and you may only have one creature conjured at a time. The creature appears in an unoccupied space you can see within range and the creature disappears when it drops to 0 hit points or when the spell ends.

The creature and the one who summoned it are linked and both take 1d6 force damage if the creature ends its turn outside of the spells range.

The creature goes immediately after you in initiative. When you summon it and on each of your turns thereafter, you can issue a verbal command to it (requiring no action on your part), telling it what it must do on its next turn. If you issue no command, it spends its turn taking the dodge action.

If you stop concentrating on the spell before it reaches its full duration, the creature no longer obeys your commands and lasts for 1d6 rounds. The creature's behavior during that time is determined by the DM.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the challenge rating increases by 1 for each slot level above 1st.

(Optional Rules) The number of creature images that hold the magic for the spell is equal to your Intelligence score. As part of creating the material components, you must make a crafting check of DC10+CR for the creature they want to conjure. The check is made at advantage if the you have seen the creature before and automatically succeeds if a piece of the creature is used during the creation. Failing the check does not necessarily mean the image will fail to summon the creature, the results of failing are determined by the DM and could be represented by lower creature stats, inability to use certain abilities, or rolling the creatures health at disadvantage. These changes should be noted at the creation of the image to avoid confusion during conjuration.
