You coat your hand in an acidic magical liquid and make a melee spell attack against a target you can see in range. On a hit, the target takes 2d8 acid damage. If the target is wearing metallic armor, the armor is partly dissolved and takes a cumulative −1 penalty to the AC it offers. The armor is destroyed if the penalty reduces its AC to 10. A creature proficient with smith's tools or tinker's tools or have the mending cantrip can use them as an action to restore +1 to a set of armor affected by this spell.
If used against a metallic creature the creature must make a cons saving throw or the corrosion will continue, their metallic flesh cannot be destroyed, but if the penalty reduces its AC to 10, all attacks against the creature become critical hits and the creature attack rolls are with disadvantage.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8.
