The user puts their hands together and emits a 30ft cone of lightning, any creature inside the cone must make a dexterity saving throw against the casters spell save DC, or take 12d6 Lightning damage, or half as much on a success.
The caster takes a quarter of the total damage that cannot be reduced by any means.
At higher levels increase the damage by 3d6 per spell level above 3rd, and when cast at 6th level or higher generate a cloud 60ft in the air cantered on the caster, that is 10ft per spell level diameter wide. Any creature under the clouds area roll 1d4 and on the result of a 1 or 3 they are struck by a bolt of lightning that deals a number of d10 lightning damage equal to the spell level used. If a bolt strikes a flammable object not being worn or carried it ignites. lightning strikes objects at DMs discretion. the storm is concentration and lasts for 1 minute.
