Suck the blood from a humanoid, fey, giant, or beast that you can see to regain hit points. On a successful bite, The target takes 2d4 piercing damage and heals you for the same amount, or half of the total points if the target's dead or poisoned. The target creature must either be alive, or have been dead for no longer than 1 minute, or else you need to make a DC 15 constitution saving throw against disease (Sewer Plague). If the target is poisoned, you need to make a constitution save against their poison. If the target isn't a humanoid, fey, giant or beast, you instead deal 1d4 damage and don't heal, spitting out their blood. If the target is a celestial, you take 1d4 points of radiant damage instead of healing, though you would still deal the same 1d4 damage to the celestial.
If the target creature is aware of your exact physical position and unwilling to be bitten, then the target must be charmed by you or an ally, incapacitated, paralyzed, restrained, stunned, unconscious, or grappled before you can bite them. If the target has any of the aforementioned conditions (except diseased or poisoned), then you may also consume your bonus action to deal and heal an additional 1d4 piercing damage and hit points. Petrified creatures cannot be bitten. Biting a creature cannot count as a sneak attack.
After being attacked, the target gains the Bloodless condition until the next long rest or a Lesser Restoration spell is cast on them. While bloodless, the target has a -1 penalty to all attack rolls, saving throws, and ability checks. If the attacked target is Humanoid, you become Happy, getting +1 to all attack rolls, saving throws and ability checks until the next long rest. These bonuses and penalties cannot stack with other successful bites. You cannot suck the blood of a creature that you aren't physically in melee range with.
