You cause a devastating lightning bolt to fall from the clear sky, followed by a peal of deafening thunder.
All creatures within 5 ft. of a point you choose within range must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failure, a creature takes 6d6 Lightning damage, or half as much damage on a success. Booming thunder then reverberates out in a 30 ft. Emanation from that same point - each creature within the Emanation must make a Constitution saving throw, taking 4d6 Thunder damage and gaining the Deafened condition on a failure. On a success, a creature takes half as much damage only.
The spell can be heard up to five miles away.
Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of level 5+, the Lightning damage increases by 2d6 per level of spell slot above 4.
