You establish mastery over a creature’s bloodline, gaining profound control over their body and mind. Choose one humanoid you can see within range. The target must make a Constitution saving throw, with disadvantage if you possess blood from a direct relative of the target. On a failed save, you establish complete dominion over the target for the duration.
While under your dominion:
You can use a bonus action on your turn to see through the target’s eyes and hear what it hears until the start of your next turn, gaining the benefits of any special senses that the target has. During this time, you are deaf and blind with regard to your own senses.
Using your action, you can take total and precise control of the target. Until the end of your next turn, the creature takes only the actions you choose, and doesn’t do anything that you don’t allow it to do. You can use the target’s action to cast a spell, but you must provide any required components.
As a reaction when the target is attacked, you can force it to use any defensive abilities, spells, or actions it has available to protect itself.
By expending 5 hit points as part of your blood sacrifice, you can implant a suggestion (as per the suggestion spell) that the target will carry out even after the spell ends.
Each time the dominated creature takes damage, it makes a new Constitution saving throw against the spell. If the saving throw succeeds, the spell ends.
If you possess blood from three or more direct relatives of the target (siblings, parents, children), the target has disadvantage on its saving throws to end the effect when taking damage.
Blood Sacrifice. When casting this spell, you take 6d4 damage as your blood establishes dominion over the target.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 8th level, the duration increases to 8 hours. At 9th level, the duration increases to 24 hours, and the target doesn’t get new saving throws when taking damage unless the damage is from a critical hit.
