Effect: You utter the forbidden words of the Void, binding creatures within a 20-foot-radius sphere centered on a point you can see within range. Each creature within the sphere must make a Charisma saving throw. On a failed save, a creature is struck with the oppressive weight of the Void, becoming frightened for the duration of the spell. The creature also takes 2d6 necrotic damage at the start of each of its turns as the Void claws at its essence. On a successful save, the creature takes half damage and is not frightened.

The sphere blocks all light within it, creating an area of supernatural darkness. Creatures that rely on sight to see are at disadvantage while within the sphere, and creatures that can see through magical darkness see only swirling, chaotic void energy.

While concentrating on this spell, you can use your action on subsequent turns to force creatures within the sphere to make another Charisma saving throw to continue taking damage or be freed from the fear condition.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 3rd.

Lore & Flavor:

Void Dogma is a forbidden incantation that speaks to the darkest corners of the multiverse. It calls upon the crushing influence of the Void, forcing enemies to witness the endless abyss and become paralyzed by their fear. The spell is typically favored by warlocks or sorcerers who have made pacts with creatures of the Void, granting them the ability to manipulate the fears and doubts of others, often for domination or control. The Void’s influence is subtle yet deeply unsettling, slowly eroding the sanity of those caught in its presence.
