Effect: You open a rift to the Void in a 20-foot-radius sphere at a point you can see within range. The rift tears into reality, distorting time and space within the area. All creatures in the area must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, creatures take 6d6 necrotic damage and are pulled 10 feet toward the center of the rift, as if gravity itself has turned against them. On a successful save, creatures take half damage and are not pulled.

The area becomes filled with Void energy for 1 minute, causing the following effects:

  • Creatures that end their turn within the area take 2d6 necrotic damage.

  • The area is filled with supernatural darkness, blocking vision, even for those with darkvision, except for creatures immune to the darkness of the Void.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the necrotic damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 5th.

Lore & Flavor:

Void Collapse is the ultimate expression of Void magic, an incantation that defies the laws of nature and shatters the boundary between the material world and the Void. Only the most powerful and reckless of spellcasters dare to tap into this destructive force, for the rift to the Void is unpredictable and can consume both enemies and the caster if not handled with care. The magic is so potent that it warps reality itself, pulling at the very fabric of existence. The aftermath is a corrupted, empty space where nothing can escape the Void’s influence.
