You fill the area surrounding you with overwhelming energy of the dead. A 30ft radius sphere around you is filled with necrotic energy and all none creature plant life instantly wither away. Any creature entering the area for the first time on their turn or starts its turn within the sphere must make a Constitution saving throw, taking 6d8 necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one.
Any creature that isn't undead or construct that is reduced to 0 hit points immediately dies and rises as a zombie under your control, sharing your initiative but taking their turn immediately after yours. If there is any corpse that has died within the last hour that is inside the area, at the start of your turn, they rise as a zombie as well. Any friendly undead within the area also gains advantage on all their attack rolls.
You and any creature you designate when you cast the spell are immune to the effects of the spell. Any undead created by this spell crumbles to dust when the spell ends.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a higher level spell slot, the necrotic damage increases by 2d8. Additionally, when you raise the dead, you may choose to raise them as ghouls instead of zombies.
